~ Christmas Time ~

It's that time of year!!!! Christmas tree time!!!

Every year, we love to go to this Christmas Tree farm. Their trees are so cheap and beautiful! This is run by an older gentleman. He is great. As you can see, very trusting and you he allows you to cut your tree and mail a check. We had gorgeous weather. It was in the 50's and Sunny!!! We will take it for the last Friday in November!

The Kiddos ready to find our perfect tree!

Emmy was precious she kept choosing all of the baby trees!

~ Be Thankful ~

A Season of Thankfulness

A few weeks back, we went out on our last boat ride with my parents. As we were getting ready to pull out of the dock, we came upon this site........

Yes, this vehicle would be under water by the dock.

The poor man was by himself. He was attempting to launch his boat by himself. The vehicle began to roll backwards. He went to jump in to stop it and was drug into the water. Thankfully he was able to get out before going under with it.

Here is a picture from on Papa and Nana's boat.

Here it is after they towed it out. How awful.

At this holiday season, we have so much to be thankful for!!!!

~ A quick Hello~

Well, I have been absent once again. I had done a few posts to publish from home. I went to upload them the other day, only for problems. So, I have a chance now!
My Hubby and I have a babysitter for the evening. THANK YOU,LIZ!!! We went out for a nice meal, shopping (let's clarify this..it wasn't really fun shopping! It was groceries and errands!!), and we are now at Barnes and Nobles! Just thought that I would let you know that there are  new posts following this! Trusting that all of you are doing well!!!

Sorry, there are not any pictures on this post!!! I am using Jeremy's laptop :0(

~ Fall Fun ~

After our visit to the fall festival, we headed home, but had one more stop to make. It was the Apple Farm!!! YUM
I was very thankful that they were open.

Beautiful Scenery!

Hay drying!

~ A Staycation ~

Have I already posted this? I thought that I had, but it doesn't look like it. If I did, I do apologize...

This was from the beginning of October :0)

We had a wonderful surprise!!! It has been very busy weeks for us. I think that all of us needed a break. That break came for us in an unexpected form!!! I was going through our emails. I came across one from our local Water Park, Splash Lagoon. I usually just delete them right away, but I decided that I would open this on. I sat looking at the screen. I was sure that something had to be wrong with the advertisement. It read:
4- 2 Day Passes For Splash Lagoon
1 Night in the Comfort Inn that was attached to the water park
Free Breakfast
FOR $99
I read it a few times before I had Jeremy come look at it. He thought it sounded a little too good to be true as well. Sure thing. It was TRUE!!! Normally, a 1 day pass alone is 40 dollars for an adult. So, this was a great deal. We knew that the kids would LOVE it!!! So, we made a spur of the moment reservation and decided to try out a staycation!!
It Was AMAZING!

Emmy spent a lot of time in this pool!!! She loved the water slide. Then, the next time, you couldn't get her to go on it! When she did, she loved it! She would come off the end so proud of herself that she did it! Adorable!

Andrew just landing at the end!

Love his BIG smile!

Cute little frog slide! I love how they have her coming out of the mouth on the tongue. This was definitely her favorite slide!

Landing at the end of the green slide. Let's just say. An adult was aloud on this slide if they had a child on their lap. Well, it went so much faster with an adult than just a child :0)

A fun sprinkler. The water would randomly shoot out of the different spots. They were laughing and having an amazing time.

More fun in the sprinkler!

More fun in the Kiddie pool!

A pipe with water pouring out! I should have gotten a video...she was dancing in it!

I was so excited/apprehensive!!! Andrew was able to go on some of the BIG water slides. He was able to ride on a double tube with one of us! He had such an amazing time! I was nervous the first few times. He went down with Daddy. All that I could think about was what if it flipped...blah blah blah. The second day, I went on this with him!!! It was so fun!

Hmmmm who could this be....NO THANKFULLY NOT ANDREW!

Look!!!! It is Papa!!! Papa and Nana met us here the first night! The kids loved it!

The Cyclone! You get shot out of a tube and spin round and round...kind of like a toilet! Then, you get washed down a chute! You can bomb them with water/spray them!!!

Daddy and  Andrew getting ready to go down the chute!

A body slide. I thought Andrew was going to not like it. He came off all frazzled. The slide flipped him all sorts of ways. He was telling me all about it. I asked him which ride was his favorite. He said, "This One!". I was relieved that he wasn't too scared to do it again!

Papa helping our Princess cross the Lily Pads.

We had an amazing time. It was well worth the money. As we were collecting our belongings to leave, Andrew said, "Thank You Mommy for bringing us to Splash Lagoon!". That made it all worth it! We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us so that we could afford a little something not so ordinary!!!

I would recommend a staycation!
Have you ever gone on one yourself?

Autumn Bliss!

Oh it has been so very long since I have blogged...Sorry everyone. Life is busy, but I decided to take a little "me" time. I am sitting at Tim Horton's updating my blog!!! Brrr...it is rainy and cold outside today. Hope that you are enjoying better weather where you are!

At the beginning of the month, we took a family trip to a local ski resort to enjoy their fall festival. It was actually my husbands idea. I was surprised. He is usually the one that would prefer to stay home! It was a beautiful day. It was 80 outside and absolutely wonderful!!! Enjoy!

I love the colors that fall brings!! So beautiful, I do wish it was longer!

Fun Obstacle course.

Train Ride!

More rides!

A Pirate show! Argh

Pony Rides! Her ponies name was Princess! How Fitting!

I believe that his was Cream Puff. I can't remember he rode two different ones! It may have been Sugar!

On the Horse drawn wagon ride!!!

It was a wonderful day. The kids had a lot of fun. They were able to decorate pumpkins, ride ponies, eat donuts, ride a train, watch a show and have a fun filled day! We are thankful for the Lord's provision that enables us to make memories like these with our kids!!!

Do you have any family traditions for the fall?

~ A Rambling about life ~

Many of you probably wonder why I don't post more often. I feel like I am so very busy, and not enough hours in the day! I'm sure that many of you can relate.
I am in the process of potty training my little girl. She is allergic to regular pull ups. So, those are only used in rare cases, hence making more laundry for Mom! I'm not sure if she is catching on, but I am not about to go back to the diapers. I just feel that would be going backwards at this point. So, I just do a ton of laundry :0) YaY for me!!
I have been doing preschool with Andrew 3 times a week for three hours each day. The little stinker is so smart. So, he is doing some writing, math, history, science and art.
In writing, he is working on his letters. We are up to "L". He is doing a good job, but he HATES it.
Math he is working on writing his numbers. I picked up a really nice work book for him. It is K-1. He is almost halfway through the book. He does a great job!
History, we have been talking about the different states. We talk about who explored it, fun little facts, and then he colors the state bird. We have gone through Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, and this week we are doing Florida.
Science, we have done a few things. I found a Discovery Kids book at Joann fabrics of all places. It is all about Science. We will be finishing up with that book shortly. We also have done different animals, studied about coral reefs, our bodies, etc.
Art, I have had him do pictures that go with the season, a self portrait, play dough, etc.
I asked him what his favorite subject is.....History and Science!!!!
